An x-ray technician or radiologist is responsible for producing x-ray digital images of all parts of the human body . These images are meant to aid physicians in the diagnosis and prevention of a wide variety of medical conditions. Radiologists prepare and position patients/clients, expose and develop radiographic films. Additional diagnostic imaging techniques such as ultrasound, magnetic resonance, computer tomography, special angiographic and interventional procedures, and nuclear medicine procedures are also performed. The radiology technician is one of the fastest growing occupations requiring only associate's level training. Job opportunities are excellent, and this trend is expected to continue.
